just not true!  Jackie Mitchell once played
baseball with the minor league Chattanooga
Lookouts.  In an exhibition game against the
mighty New York Yankees, she struck out both
Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig!  Read all about it in

picture book authors, and now she writes
about my favorite sport baseball/softball in this

when she played.  She played on an adult fastpitch
softball team when she was 10!  She was that good!
