			The Ballot Box Battle by Emily Arnold McCully In this fictional story, Cordelia learns a lesson about perseverance and standing up for herself from her neighbor, suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton.  Cordelia realizes that she can be anything she wants to be -- even if she is a girl.  Go Cordelia!
	The story also tells about the struggle of women in the early part of the 20th century to gain the right to vote.  It's a great story on all fronts and is highly recommended by Rachel and Sarah.
			Duck for President by Doreen Cronin In this hilarious book for young children, readers are introduced to the democratic election process.   Recommended by Sarah.
