The Book Nuts
Read Across America
Book List
The summer after I was in first grade, we
did not go on a vacation because my
mom was taking classes at school, but we
did manage to visit every state in the
union without ever leaving our house!  My
mom, little sister and I read our way
across America.  It was alot of fun!  You
can do it, too!  Here were some of our
favorite stops on our journey to each
state.

Have a good trip,
Rachel
Wish You Were Here: Emily's Guide to the 50 States
by Kathleen Krull
This was our "official" guidebook.  We read
about the states in the order Mrs. Krull wrote
about them and read our guidebook first for
each state.  We are going to list our states in
alphabetical order on this page to make it
easier for people to find a book about a state
they might be particularly interested in.
