Non-fictional Information Books
Non-fictional information books cover a wide variety of interests and
abilities.  These books may be about science, the arts, math,
sports, or history.

Keep in mind that non-fiction may be more difficult for a child to
understand than fictional stories due to content and the structure of
the text.  Most fictional stories follow a set story formula.
Informational texts, on the other hand, are organized differently.
They may be organized chronologically, by cause and effect,
topically or several other ways.  This makes the text often more
difficult for children who are more used to standard fictional story
lines.  Keep this in mind when choosing non-fictional books with
your child.
