Book Lists
A Few Notes About These Lists
E indicates the book is a picture book and is located in the
picture book room.

ER indicates the book is in the Easy Reader Section of the
library.

F indicates the book is a fictional work, usually a novel, but
may be a more difficult picture book and is located in the
fiction section of the library.

P indicates the library owns this book in paperback form and
the book may be found on the paperback shelf.

BC indicates the book is a Boxcar Children Mystery and the
book can be found in the boxcar display.

92 or 920 indicates the book is a biography and will be
located in the biography section.

A number other than 92 or 920 indicates the book is a
non-fiction selection and will be found in the
non-fiction section according to its Dewey Decimal System
Classification.

These lists are not a comprehensive listing of all the Accelerated
Reader tests CMDS owns.  Rather this is a listing by the book
genres most frequently required for book reports in the various
grades at CMDS.

The books are listed in order of increasing difficulty according to
AR Reading Levels.  The abbreviations following the reading level
indicate the location of the book in the CMDS library.

Newbery Award Winners are indicated by an * after the title..  **
indicates the book was a Newbery Honor book.  Caldecott Award
Winners are indicated by # after the title.  ## after the title indicates
the book was a Caldecott Honor book.  All Newbery and
Caldecott Award winning books are also listed with other award
winning books on the Award Winners list.
