Character Education
America. Yet with federal and state mandates being handed down and
the emphasis on the results of high stakes testing, character education
often becomes lost in curriculum. It is very easy to incorporate
character education in your studies when you integrate it with
language arts or social studies. The picture books on the book lists
linked below can be used as class read alouds and mini-lessons in
reading, language arts or social studies classes. Chapter books could
be used in themed literature circle discussions. In addition, all the
books have a strong character education component that makes for
good discussion.
