The Midnight Fox
by Betsy Byars

While his parents spend the summer biking across Europe,
Tom must spend the entire summer stuck on his aunt's
farm. Tom thinks it's going to be boring, boring, boring, but
when he discovers a black fox in the woods it becomes a
summer he will never forget. You won't ever forget this
book if you read it.   Recommended by Rachel
Tornado
by Betsy Byars

One of the Book Nuts Favorite books is
Tornado by Betsy
Byars.  This is a very special book about a very special dog
named Tornado. The book is really a collection of short
stories within a story.  A family anxiously waits in a storm
cellar for a tornado to pass and worry about their father who
is still out in the storm.  While they wait, Pete, the farmhand
tells them stories of his dog, Tornado, who was blown into
Pete's life during another storm years ago.  Everyone loved
this story, and you are sure to love it, too.  Recommended by
all of the Book Nuts.
The Moon and I
by Betsy Byars

Betsy's memoir,
The Moon and I, is full of funny stories
and surprises from this author's life.  The first surprise is
Moon, Betsy's black snake friend.  Betsy's ride on the
first skateboard in the history of the world down Red Hill
is hysterical, and Bubba is a bully you will never forget.
Read
The Moon and I and find out more about this
great author.  You will be glad you did.  Recommended
